SO IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD, St Kilda managed to win their last game over Essendon by 108 points, earning us the 4th spot on the ladder! HAH take that Adelaide. [St Kilda hates Adelaide because they beat us in the 1997 grand final grrrrrrrr. I know I know it's been over 10 years but this is football; we don't forgive easily]. Which means that we get a double shot at finals, and live to play on for at least another two games and we'll be able to try and give the best possible send off for Robert Harvey. First final for St Kilda is against Geelong (woohoo.... the best team by far in the league -__-) on Sunday afternoon; we'll most likely lose that, I'll be happy if they try their best and are competitive at least. But because we finished top 4, that means we're not out of the finals immediately; we'll play the winner of the elimination final between Collingwood and Adelaide in the semi-final. And we'll have a good shot at winning against those teams and it'll be a home final. So I'm excited! :D September is the best month of the year - footy finals, mid-semester break, warming weather. Hee.
Unfortunately though, this weekend is going to be very busy. I have an essay [plan] to write for my Classics subject on how Euripides' The Bacchae challenges the Athenian male identity, as well as a macroeconomics assignment due on Monday. Gah. Saturday night we're having a housewarming party and I hope to get to the library as well to borrow books for the aforementioned essay. Thankfully I have tomorrow off; but going to see Tropic Thunder (excited!) and a teeeeeeensy bit of clothes-trying-on (note: no actual BUYING) will probably occur. xDDD
And my American Apparel order arrived today! Gaaaaaah I am so in love with the grey raglan slouchy jumper. It sits so perfectly! Will be returning two of the tees though; one grey one for a black instead (and a larger size since I want it loose), and returning the white one because it's too long. Besides, saw the actual one I wanted in David Jones yesterday so I'll go pick that up instead. And Gen Pants Co. stock Alternative Apparel now and I love the white burnout tee so I might get that as well. I plan on getting a Nathan Smith oversized racerback top and Bassike black cotton jersey trackpants eventually too, in summer. Sooo good. Ugh I should really stop talking about clothes. Note to self: tone up arms.
By the way, the season premiere of Gossip Girl was... interesting. A little meh, a lot WTF in a certain moment with a certain Lord Marcus (WORST. ENGLISH ACCENT. EVERRRRR. I suspect Ed Westwick was cringing through the entire filming of that scene.) Compared with the storylines they had last season this episode was so tame. But yes, I am eagerly awaiting future episodes.
PS. I got 9/10 for my Finance assignment, hah! Fluke. I actually find Finance really awesome and interesting; definitely on track to major in it. Unlike that pissant douche of a subject Accounting. My tutor also mentioned that taking Corporate Law would benefit those majoring in Finance as well which I was planning on doing next year anyway, so that's awesome. :D And Nilss (my macroeconomics lecturer) is so so cute. He was awful excited about the Reserve Bank lowering interest rates by 25 basis points (0.25%). xDD
